This order is built upon five key pillars aimed at protecting the American public during the design, implementation, and deployment of automated systems. It instructs federal agencies to formulate strategies that promote technological innovation while safeguarding against associated risks.

Following this, the Biden administration launched the US AI Safety Institute, intended to enhance oversight and security mechanisms in the field of artificial intelligence.

As Trump prepares to take office, he has already indicated a desire to dismantle Biden’s decree from day one, framing it as a hindrance to technological innovation and accusing it of imposing radical ideological perspectives on AI development.
